The wear status of soft continuous wear contact lens

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose: We investigate the wear status of soft continuous wear contact lens.
Methods: In 120 eyes of 60 patients who soft continuous wear contact lens wearer. We survey corrected visual acuity with contact lens, wearing hour in a day, lens replacement period and wearing period of correct lens using slit lamp exam and questionnaire and we evaluate contact lens fitting include movement of lens, contration, and defect of lens
Results: Corredted visual acuity of soft continuous wear contact lens wearer better than 0.8 were 92.5% and contact lens fitting showed good position. 68.3% of wearer more than 9 hours wearing in a day, average of lens replacement period were 9months to 12months in 55%
Conclusions: We think necesary contact lens wearing hour in a day, lens replacement period, side effect and complication of contact lenses, contact lens supervision special teaching and periodical ophthalmoic examination for contact lens wearer.
